Connecting faith, compassion, and community
Ministry happens wherever compassion meets a need. With the launch of Unified REACH, the Unified Free Will Baptist Denomination is embracing a new chapter of service that carries our faith beyond Sunday worship and into everyday lives.
Introduced during the 18th Triennial General Conference in September 2026, Unified REACH is our denomination’s social service ministry. Its launch included outreach across New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut, where teams shared blankets and personal-care packages with individuals in need.
These simple gifts carried a meaningful message: you are seen, you are valued, and you are not forgotten.
Across our denomination, local churches already demonstrate this commitment through programs that support and connect their communities.
At Mt. Zion in Edison, New Jersey, a food pantry sponsored every second Saturday of the month serves neighbors under the leadership of Pastor Lisa Edwers.
At Pitts Chapel in New Haven, Connecticut, Mother Helen Carr, Elder Dennis Carr, and Sister Sheila Carr lead a food pantry offered every second and fourth Thursday of the month.
At English Chapel in Bridgeport, Connecticut, the annual Family Festival, held in September and led by Elder Gloria Brown, brought families together for fellowship and community connection.
Unified REACH offers a shared expression of the compassion already at work among us. As this ministry develops, we look forward to celebrating local efforts, encouraging participation, and finding more ways to serve our neighbors.
We thank every leader, volunteer, and supporter whose dedication makes this outreach possible. Through your service, God’s love becomes something people can experience.
