Unified Free Will Baptist Church was established in 1964 under the leadership of the late Rev. Lloyd Taylor D.D. Since its inception, the conference has continued to build a strong legacy of winning souls and making disciples.
At the core of the Unified Free Will Baptist Church are the principles of free will, choice, and expression, serving as our foundation.
We believe in one God, who is the origin of all things and has eternal and unchangeable characteristics from everlasting to everlasting.
1 Corinthians 8:6, Isaiah 40:28
We believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God, born of the Virgin Mary, who sacrificed Himself for all, rose again on the third day, and ascended into Heaven and one day He will return to judge both the living and the dead.
Hebrews 2:9; 1 John 2:2; Revelation 1:7; Acts 24:15; 1 Peter 4:5
We believe that the Holy Ghost is a divine gift from the Father, bestowed through His Son to bring sinners closer to God.
John 1:12; Acts 2:4; Ephesians 4:4,5,6
We believe that God made man upright and without sin and because of man’s transgression he placed a state of death upon mankind.
Genesis 2:17, 3:17, 18, 19
We believe that God wishes for everyone to repent and attain truth for salvation and that Jesus instructed the preaching of the Gospel to all creatures and nations to achieve this end.
Mark 16:15; 2 Peter 3:9
We believe that faith leads to good works and that eternal life is granted using means of grace. Salvation is attained through faith in Jesus Christ and the grace of God, rather than our own actions or capabilities. Nobody can earn salvation, instead, we must depend on the righteousness of Christ, which is bestowed upon believers.
Revelation 22:14,15; Romans 4:2-4
We believe that no one will suffer in Hell because they were not exposed to Christ, but rather because of their lack of belief in the Son of God and that all humans have the potential to be saved through the grace of God.
2 Peter 2:1; Acts 17:3; Mark 6:6; Hebrews 3:10; 1 John 5:10; St. John 3:36
We believe the Bible to be entirely accurate and without errors, and the only source of authority for both faith and conduct.
2 Timothy 3:16
We believe that God has provided for all people through Jesus Christ, given that they repent and have faith in the Gospel.
St. John 3:16
We believe in the Gospel Ordinances, including baptism by immersion and that only believers should be baptized, laying on of hands, receiving the sacrament, washing the Saints' feet, anointing the sick, fasting, prayer, singing praises to God, and public ministry of the Word, which are all based on the teachings and examples found in the New Testament.
Luke 22:19, 20; James 5:13; St. Matthew 3:8-16; St. Mark 16:16
We believe in a universal resurrection of the deceased and a final judgment in the end.
John 5:28, 29
